Each years, the Washington D.C. Cherry Blossoms Festival - Sakura Mastsuri - attracts animés impersonators who dress up the part and stroll through the festival, acting in character. It is sponsored by the Japanese-American Society of Washington, and attracts thousands of visitors.
I've chosen a 'cartoonish' post-edit for the images to emphasize the nature of the subjects.
